Waveney has provided the following information about the walk:
- Corfe Castle is about 65 miles from Timsbury and takes between 1 ¾ and 2 hours drive.
- There is parking at the National Trust car park. There are toilet facilities there as well
- The walk is 4.5 miles long, passing places of interest, with possible sightings of the steam trains of the Swanage Railway. There are wonderful wide ranging views walking along the chalk ridge to Corfe Castle.
- During some of the test runs it was muddy in places, but on the most recent one in May there was minimal mud.
- There are a few undulating sections and one steep uppity bit up to the chalk ridge. There is one steep downity stretch leading to the Corfe Castle. (Check the route profile in Corfe Castle Circular July 2019 Route Map.pdf)
