The next walk will take place on Friday 6 February and will start at Home Farm in Timsbury. We’ll meet at 9.30am for a 9.45am start.
Walk organisers : Fiona Jordan, Fred Jordan
Fred and Fiona are organising the walk and as well as being an enjoyable and interesting walk which highlights the restoration work being carried out on The Somerset Coal Canal it will also be an opportunity to support The Chitepani Trust. The village of Chitepani in Nepal, lies 17km to the east of Pokhara in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Annapurna Region. The Trust has been set up to promote primary health care, education and development projects to meet the needs of the people of Chitepani and the surrounding area of Kaski District. You can visit their website at http://www.chitepani.org/ to find out more.
The walk is 6.12 miles long. On the recent trial run there were a few muddy patches but there are alternatives available. There are also two uppity bits!
