Notes |
Was a Captain of the Gentlemen Pensioners (about court) and was probably knighted through the influence of his father's first cousin George Selwyn. succeeded to Carswell property of the Southby's in Berkshire
Believed to have been responsible for disfiguring the family bible after William Hayward Winstone's second marriage to Betsy Bird.
His will of 1796 was witnessed by Caleb Chilcott. He left a legacy to Thomas Hayward Winstone Capt of 12th Regiment of foot. He also forgave Mr &Mrs Winstone. (perhaps they should have been doing the forgiving)
