  • Notes
    • Was a Captain of the Gentlemen Pensioners (about court) and was probably knighted through the influence of his  father's first cousin George Selwyn. succeeded to Carswell property of the Southby's in Berkshire

    • Believed to have been responsible for disfiguring the family bible after William Hayward Winstone's second marriage to Betsy Bird.

    • His will of 1796 was witnessed by Caleb Chilcott. He left a legacy to Thomas Hayward Winstone Capt of 12th Regiment of foot. He also forgave Mr &Mrs Winstone. (perhaps they should have been doing the forgiving)
