Great Family historian.
Spent 25 years studying Dr Monro who founded Bedlam.
Worked during first war in ministry of munitions and War office where she was responsible for keeping maps of squadrons and machines up to date. Was awarded MBE for her work. Worked in London slums for Princess Louise Children's hospital. Went to India as Lady Relinson's private secretary.
Keen interest in arts and organised exhibitions in London and Amsterdam.
2nd war was regional administrator SW England for WVS for which was awarded an OBE.
Moved to Lacock and classified archives at Corsham Court

She made a family of her three nieces and our family in preference to getting married herself. Worked together one a biography of Thomas Munro of Bedlam a maternal ancestor (not published). Described Octavia as " appallingly stupid"
