Michs 1855, Carus Greek Testament prize 1858, B.A. 1859, M.A. 1862, D.D. 1887, Ordained Deacon (Canterbury) 1861, priest 1862; C. of Kilndown, Kent 1861-67, Chaplain on the Bengal Establishment at Allahabad 1867; at Fort William, Calcutta, 1868. C of All Saints, Hampstead, 1874-7, Chaplain at Simla, 1877. Archdeacon of Lahore, 1887-88. Bishop of Lahore, 1888-1898. Married, Nov. 29 1866, Julia Elizabeth Browne, and had issue. Died Dec 2, 1898, in Lahore Cathedral, whilst in the act of celebrating Communion.
